Following the launch of Peppa Pig Me Books at the end of last week we now have more cause for celebration. Ladybird Classic Me Books has been shortlised in the app category of this year's Guardian Digital Innovation Awards. There are four nominees in our category including the likes of Nike and Orange so needless to say we are very pleased indeed!
From the moment we launched Ladybird Classic Me Books the response has been truly amazing. It's clear so many of us have a spot in our hearts for these little gems. The memories they stir and the opportunity to share them with our own children, using the technology of today, is proving a big hit.
We launched the app with 14 titles and have now added another famous five (see above). With these new titles we also introduce...Sir David Jason.

The first time I clapped eyes on Me Books I was blown away. I know the beautiful Ladybird books well, as we all do, but this new technology really brings something special to the table. It's storytelling with super powers and I was so impressed I went out and bought an iPad for my family!
Our very own Del Boy joins the voice talents of Adam Buxton and Josie Lawrence; the well known personalities that inject the current titles with side splitting one liners and guffaws a plenty.

Apps Magazine, dedicated to matching the incredible demand for the latest and greatest App Store products, has just announced their 2011 Award winners and we're thrilled to have picked up the GOLD. Ladybird Classic Me Books was named 'Best Entertainment App of the Year'.
This isn't some fancy new design idea that will see its best work down the road. It works now. Is superb right now, and it is for this reason Ladybird Classic Me Books deservedly wins this award.
And, to top it off, we were awarded SILVER in their 'App of the Year' category. First spot went to The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore...which we agree is suberb!

The winners of The Lovie Awards have just been announced and Ladybird Classic Me Books snapped up the GOLD! The Lovie Awards is the only Pan European Award to honour the entire breadth of content created for the internet, so needless to say we're thrilled!
