What type of content does Me Books App have?


We have books from international publishers including Oxford University Press (UK), Teacher Created Materials (USA), ELI Publishing (Italy) and WickWick (Finland); Asian publishers like Oyez!Books (Malaysia), Magicbird Publishing (Malaysia), Nanmeebooks (Thailand), and SE-ED (Thailand, and even our own originally produced works, Me Books Creations. Content includes picture books (fiction and non-fiction), STEAM content by TCM, and levelled titles for graded reading. You can learn more here *Content is subject to region locks




Are there books in other languages?


At the moment, we do have some books in Malay. We, however, are also working on Siamese books and many more in the future.




What is Me Books?





What ages can use the Me Books app? Is it safe and appropriate?


There are no age restrictions, but our app would be perfect for children ages 2 to 9 years old. Me Books is, and will always be, a safe and secure environment for children to explore. We work tirelessly to ensure that children will never come across inappropriate content, in-app purchases or ads on Me Books.




Can I read books offline?


You can read offline books without an internet connection from within the mobile app. You may download an unlimited number of books to read offline at any time (downloadable content may be limited by the storage space available on your device). Does the Me Books app have CEFR Level available for books?


Me Books is excited to offer CEFR Measure books! The CEFR organises language proficiency in six levels, A1 to C2, which can be regrouped into three broad levels: Basic User, Independent User and Proficient User. You can find the different reading levels by clicking on the 'All Categories' button on the top right of the discover page. The system will provide the results with book titles based on the reading level you select.

How can I view my children's reading activity?


Here's how to view your child's reading activity: 1. Click on the menu icon on the top left of the screen and enter your parent passcode 2. Go to 'Parent Dashboard' Here you will find the time your child has spent reading (on a daily basis), a list of books they've read, their recorded voiceovers and the stickers they have earned. To view your child's stickers/voiceovers/books read: simply click on the respective buttons and scroll away!

How do I mark a book as a favourite?


Love a book on Me Books? You are able to add it to your 'Favorites' by opening the book and tapping the jar icon. Books which are 'favorited' will be located in your My Library section under the 'My Favourites' tab for easy access to your favorite books!

To remove a book from your Favorites, simply navigate to your My Favourites tab, click on any title and un-click the jar icon OR open any of your favorited titles and un-click the jar icon.

Can I access my accounts on multiple devices?


Yes! All of your profiles and data will be available on all of your compatible devices! Once you have created a Me Books account, you can log in to any iOS or Android device with the same email and password which you used to create the account. To access your existing account on any new device, first, download the Me Books app on your new device for free! Once you open the Me Books app, click on "Login Existing Account". Then sign in with your existing email and password.

What happens to my personal data and information? Am I protected?


Your privacy is our utmost concern. Your information is secured through our state-of-the-art SSL securing system and can only be accessed by our internal team through a series of layered security. How do I change my parent avatar?


Parent avatars are a fun way to customize your parent profile in order to tailor your account to your family! See below for instructions on how to update your avatar: 1. Click on the menu icon on the top left of the screen and enter your parent passcode when prompted 2. Click 'Parent Dashboard' 3. Tap on 'Go to Dashboard' on the top right of the screen next to your current avatar 4. Click on 'Edit Profile' under settings 5. Select the parent avatar of your choice and you're done!

What are your subscription packages/plans?


You can choose between 1 month, 6 months, and 12 months. More details on plans here. Every subscriber gets 2 weeks on us!




How does payment work? Do I have to pay upfront?


When you choose a plan, you are locked in to a contract. But fret not! We don't do upfront payments. Instead, we'll automatically deduct from your chosen account every month throughout your payment plan (it pretty much works the same as direct debit).




Do you offer a trial membership?


The Me Books App is free to try for the first 2 weeks. You won't be charged during your free trial and you can cancel anytime. If you choose to continue enjoying Me Books, you’ll be automatically charged the monthly subscription price after your free trial ends. We hope you enjoy your free trial of Me Books!




How much does a Me Books subscription cost?


Me Books offers a 2-week free trial of unlimited access to our ever-growing library and only $3.99 USD per month thereafter! How can I pay for the Me Books app?


Downloading and subscribing to Me Books through the iTunes or Google Play app stores, will simply use the credit card you have on file with the respective app store. *Please note pricing and currency may vary by country.




How do I update my payment details?





Does each child need their own subscription?


A Me Books account allows for up to three separate child profiles for a personalized reading experience, so only one subscription is required for up to three children! Multiple devices can be logged into the same home account simultaneously.




Why does Me Books cost money?


For a small fee each month, Me Books provides the world's best selection of quality, award-winning books for unlimited reading. A free service would not be able to provide the same level of quality books, and we always strive to provide the highest level of excellence to our customers. We also charge a subscription fee so that the authors of these wonderful books can get paid for their work. If Me Books were free, the authors would not get paid, and would not be able to create more amazing books. How can I cancel my subscription?


How to cancel depends on how you originally subscribed to Me Books– not how you typically view Me Books. In most cases, subscriptions to Me Books are non-refundable. If you think there is an error in billing, please contact our support team and we’ll work with you to find a solution. If you have decided to cancel, we're sorry to see you go and want to thank you for using Me Books. Please also note that after canceling, you will still have access to the services for the remainder of the time that you have already paid for (unless otherwise noted). iOS / Apple App Store Subscription If you are subscribed through Apple, you can easily cancel your Me Books subscription: - Log In to your Me Books account on your Me Books iOS app - Click on ‘Parent Dashboard’ and enter your password when prompted - Click on 'Go to Dashboard' - Click on ‘Account Settings’ - Click ‘Manage’ (next to Subscription Plan) - Click on ‘Cancel Subscription’ Apple subscriptions and payments are managed by Apple directly. Due to Apple’s iTunes account management and user privacy policies, our Support team is unable to cancel your subscription or provide refunds for subscriptions purchased through iTunes. Please note that in many cases, we have found the Me Books sign-in email address is different than the Apple ID that is used for billing when subscribing through the Apple iTunes store. We have no way of knowing or finding the Apple ID in these cases. Android / Google Play Subscription f you are subscribed through Google Play, you can easily cancel your Me Books subscription: - Log In to your Me Books account on your Me Books iOS app - Click on ‘Parent Dashboard’ and enter your password when prompted - Click on 'Go to Dashboard' - Click on ‘Account Settings’ - Click ‘Manage’ (next to Subscription Plan) - Click on ‘Cancel Subscription’ Please note you must be signed in with the account that you used to subscribe to Me Books.

How many devices can the app support at any given time?


The Me Books app is compatible for up to 3 devices (mobile phones and tablets.)




Is an Internet connection required to use Me Books?


The app requires Internet connection to download books into your own mobile device storage. Once downloaded, you can view the books offline anytime, anywhere. Note: An internet connection is required to initially create an Me Books account or when signing into your existing Me Books account.




Will that mean it will take up a lot of storage space in my device?


On average, each book will take up about 20MB of storage space. If you download all the books in our catalogue, you'll take up a maximum of 8GB.




Help! My app doesn’t seem to be working.


Try restarting your device; by doing this the device closes all programs and restarts the operating system. You may also need to go to your device's settings and allow permission for the app to access the microphone, library etc. If these solutions dont work for you please contact us here . We'll be happy to help!




My device doesn’t have enough storage capacity to download more books. What can I do?


If you find yourself running out of storage space, you may have to delete some books that you aren’t reading at the moment or have already read. Unfortunately, books on the app can’t be stored in an external device.




I forgot my password. What should I do?


Please click or tap on the "forgot your password?" link located at the bottom of the sign-in page of the app. A password reset email will be sent to the email address associated with your Me Books account (if you don't receive the reset email within 15 minutes, please check your spam or junk folder).

If you did not receive your password reset email or have trouble resetting your password, let us know! We're happy to help!




What devices are compatible with the Me Books app?


Me Books is available on two platforms: - iOS - Compatible with iPhones and iPads (with an iOS 8.0 or later) - Android - Compatible with over 5,000 Android devices (with OS versions 4.2.2 and higher). No matter which platform you initially register your account on, you can use your Me Books account from other platforms and devices by clicking on "Log in to an existing account" and logging in with the same username and password. Your reading progress and favorites will carry over to other platforms and devices. Books downloaded for offline reading are only accessible on the mobile device in which the books were downloaded.




Will reading progress sync across all devices?


With Me Books, reading progress will sync across all your iOS and Android devices! Simply log in using the same account and all progress should be saved.

Child Profile Management

How do I create a child's profile?


You can create up to 3 child profiles on your Me Books account! Here's how: To create a child profile on the Me Books App (iOS or Android): - Open your Me Books app and log in to your account - Tap your parent avatar ans enter your parent passcode when promted - Tap the 'Add Storyteller' button - Enter your child's details and a passcode to protect your child's privacy You're ready to go!




How do I change my child's profile name?


Here's how to edit your child's profile name: 1. Log in to your Me Books account 2. Click your child's profile at the bottom of the screen 3. Click 'Edit Profile' 4. Enter your child's name and click 'Edit Profile Name' All good to go!




How do I delete a child's profile?


To delete a child's profile: 1. Log in to your Me Books account on your mobile app 2. Tap on the menu icon on the top left of the screen and enter your parent passcode 3. Click on 'Parent Dashboard' 3. Click on the profile you want to delete and then click the 'Edit Profile' button 4. Click 'Remove Profile' and confirm your decision

Want to change your child's avatar? Awesome! We've got over 30 characters to choose from! Here's how to edit your child's avatar: 1. Log in to your Me Books account 2. Click your child's profile at the bottom of the screen 3. Click 'Edit Profile' 4. Click on your child's favourite avatar, and you're all set!! All good to go!
