About the book
This heart warming picture book is made with minimal text capturing different stories from families all around the world, with cheeky, playful children and their parents who are always loving.
Very often, children are filled with curiosity and at times it can really get on parents' nerves! Picking vegetables off the plate. Drawing on the walls. Playing with their parents' stuff which children clearly shouldn't! Do any of these sound familiar to you?

Our Thoughts
The book Mommy and Daddy Know Best is beautifully illustrated, with minimal text in each page, providing the space for creative narration. This close to wordless picture book is amazing for encouraging creativity in children, as well as enhancing their literacy and social skills as children observe the illustrations and talk about what is happening in each page.
With a different story setting and character after every page flip, it opens up children's imagination to make sense of the story, without words and adult's opinions to confine their imagination. In a child-led storytelling session, this book can also encourage confidence as children are attempting to narrate stories based on what they have observed in the book.
Storytelling Tips and Prompts
As adults, it is best to support them through prompting questions as you read the book together with your child. Through questions and minimal guidance from an adult, children slowly pick up the way stories work and also spark their interest to explore more stories and books!
